Applicants and holders of driver’s licenses for group 1: AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B, and B+E (§ 80a of Act No. 361/2000 Coll.)
Applicants and holders of driver’s licenses for group 2:
- Drivers who operate motor vehicles in an employment relationship, where driving a motor vehicle is a type of work agreed upon in the employment contract.
- Drivers of vehicles who, in the performance of tasks related to special duties, use a special blue warning light, supplemented by a special audible warning signal.
- Drivers for whom driving a motor vehicle is subject to a separate gainful activity conducted in accordance with a special legal regulation.
- Applicants and holders of instructor’s certificates for driver training in motor vehicle operation according to a special legal regulation.
- Applicants and holders of driver’s licenses for vehicle groups C1, C1+E, C, C+E, D1, D1+E, D, D+E, and T (§ 80a of Act No. 361/2000 Coll.)
When do you need a medical assessment?
- To obtain a driver’s license (in a driving school)
- Non-professional drivers of motor vehicles who hold a driver’s license for groups C, D, E must undergo regular medical examinations every 2 years, starting from the age of 50, and then annually after reaching the age of 50.
- Non-professional drivers must undergo a medical examination when reaching the ages of 65 and 68, and then every two years.
- Holders of driver’s licenses for group 2 (C, C+E, C+E, D, D+E) must undergo a medical examination before commencing their activities, every two years until the age of 50, and annually after reaching the age of 50.
